DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) - In a breathtaking escalation of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah fighters based in Lebanon, a spokesman for the militant Shiite Muslim group Hezbollah said today that the group planned on unleashing a 350Z against Israeli Defence Force troops.
"Hezbollah promised that it would rain down death upon Israel," Mojtaba Bigdeli, a Hezbollah representative in Beirut, stated this morning. "And we promised to surprise the world with our aresenal. The Zionist invaders have pushed us too far."
Retired Army General Richard Facelli, a weapons expert and consultant, remarked that "This is a tremendous escalation for [Hezbollah] - this really raises the stakes for the IDF." "The 350Z is so fast and powerful it's almost unstoppable except by the most advanced defense system in the world."
The IDF had no immediate comment on the announcement, although unconfirmed reports indicate that the IDF responding by moving a Grand National up to the Lebanese border. The Iranian amabassador to Syria, Mohammed-Reza Sheybani, angrily denounced the deployment of the Grand National and threatened Iranian intervention if Isreal uses it.
