...priests and/or deacons.? I am wondering about the Commandment to honor your mother and father. I am fifteen years old and Catholic. I feel ready to date and have boyfriends. I have had a boyfriend already. My parents have different opinions on dating. My mother is fine with my dating and see's nothing wrong with it, but my father is very old fashioned and thinks that I am not old enough yet. My dad doesn't know about my old boyfriend and he also doesn't know that I went to prom, but my mom does. So, my question is; am I breaking the Commandment to honor my mother AND father by dating and having boyfriends behind my dad's back, or is it ok because at least one of my parents says that it's ok? I am currently holding off from dating and having boyfriends until I am sure of the answer, because I do not want to break a Commandment.
