"in their last moments, people show you who they really are."

Pardon for borrowing a line from Ledger Joker but he does have a point to an extent - especially when it comes to villains.

Most villains have some sort of power. And they wield this power like they're king of the world. Then when their power is gone or it's rendered irrelevant, they turn into the whiniest sissies ever.

So which villains in Fiction:

1. Faced death bravely?

2. Whimpered like like wimps?

For 1, I'd like to nominate Sakyo from Yu Yu Hakusho.
He bets his life, loses the bet and then calmly lets himself be buried and crushed to death. With a smile.

My picks come from Cowboy Bebop, Code Geass, Now and Then, Rurouni Kenshin and Death Note.
Brave:
Vicious. He was at the top of the world and had nothing left after that. So he ended it all with Spike. Maybe it was a more twisted kind of bravery, but still.

Leloche. His whole plan was to unite the world with his own martyrdom, and all this time we thought he was a manipulative and uncaring d-bag.

Coward:
Hamdo. His real muscle came only from his soldiers and other cowarRAB. Without all that, he could nothing but cry like a baby before his death.

Somewhere in between:
Shishio. He went too far past his limit in terms of power, and could only laugh at the irony of his fate.

DepenRAB:
Light Yagami. He died screaming like a baby in the manga, but was much calmer in the anime, as if he had finally realized the flaw in his actions and where it brought him.

Coward side
Bellamy, he was a fool to the bitter end. Thinking there was no Skypiea.

Sarquiss tried to seduce Nami, but Sarquiss later is crushed by Teech.

Eneru
- Has the gall of using the innocent citizens to do his bidding. Chapters later, Luffy has a harsh duel with him

Brave
- Axe-hand Morgan

Which category would Frieza, Cell and Buu fit in? It's true, they threw a fit when they were overpowered but all three of them fought on to the bitter end.
