BRAND NEW Cricket MOTOKRZR K1m Fire DEMAGNITIZED???????

I just paid $322.00 for a brand new Cricket MOTOKRZR K1m Fire at the Cricket store and now it doesn't work and niether Cricket or Motorola will repair it.

The first week I could get on line then after that I got an error message about can't resovle host name.

I did the #7388??* and reset the browser and it corrected the problem, for a couple hours.

I reset the browser again only this time the display is stuck on a white test screen with small blue text, (the phone will work like this but you can't see anything on the screen) and the only way to get my display back it to start the camera and push the soft keys repeatally, but this only works temp. before it goes back to the white screen, see example below.

I brought the phone to Cricket and they said. Oh you like to play with phones don't you!!!
They said this because I have a Sprint Samsung SPH A-920 flashed to Cricket.

Anyhoo Cricket said the phone is demagnitized and the software is corrupt and they can't fix it, send it to motorola.

I said I just bought it here 6 day's ago.

Cricket said, its not our problem.

I contacted motorola who told me the ESN and serial #'s are not in there recorRAB and to contact Cricket because they don't know where they got it.

I told motorola its in the motorola box its a motorola phone?
I called Cricket who said its not our responsibility because the Cricket store put a note on my account saying the phone looks like it has been exposed to water.
I said that's bull, the water sticker is pure white and was never exposed to water.

So now I have a new $322.00 phone that's no good and no one will warranty it.

I filed a complaint with the BBB but Crickets response was its not under warranty because I like to tamper with cell phones and it might have water damage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you visit other cricket stores to show there is no water damage. Hit every cricket store in town, maybe you will get better results.

Cricket also has a 30 Minute return policy stating that if the call timer is over 30 minutes they will not replace the phone.
 
That 30 minute policy is crap. I bought a brand new 6165i that had a busted button and I didn't have time to bring it back in for another three days. When I brought it in, I was at 34 minutes and they wouldn't replace it. After yelling at some idiot for a few minutes, he "remerabered" that I can pay $10 to have it shipped to Nokia for repair and that they'd give me a new phone on the spot. Me having to pay $10 and endure that retard telling me that I broke it was still a crock, but $10 was much better than $180.
I've learned never to buy phones from Cricket.

Something you might try is reflashing the Cricket monster.

Cricket customer service is crap, and I'm really sorry to hear about your $300-some paperweight. I think it's worth a shot to flash a new ROM to it though... anyone else?
 
My phone had 34 minutes on it.
How do I flash cricket monster?
I have MPT, P2K. and I can find monster on google just need some instruction.

you must have taken it to an indirect dealer, the 30 minute return policy is to return the hanRABet for a full refund, go in to a full service cricket retail store and ask for a TBSTK warranty swap, they will swap it out with a refurbished fire krzr.
they will swap it out as long as there is no signs if physical abuse, e.g. drops, liquid damage, heat, or torsion (pressure) damage. its free within 7 days, 10.00 within 30, or 45.00 if the rep thinks the hanRABet possibly has had damage that could have voided the warranty. good luck and DO NOT go to an indirect for a warranty replacement
 
there is only one truth in life, and that is that people lie. there's so many holes in your story it's hard to know what to believe. FACT: they will not deny you a waranty claim just because you own a flashed phone. there is something else going on here and it is highly suspect. you walk into my store and tell me a story like that and red flags trip all over the place, and i think you're trying to scam me.
if there are signs of tampering they will not waranty the phone. the stickers are not the only posible signs of water damage.
additionally, demagnatized doesn't make any sense. that pretty much only applies to things that have magnetic storage, like a credit card or hard drive, there is nothing magnetic about your phone.

irregardless.

if there is indeed no physical damage to the phone then flashing it with a moster pack should fix any problems with the software including any damage caused by messing with the configuration.
 
it sounRAB like you put it in test(debug mode) if thats the case you just have to hit clear and the left soft key at the same time, screen should come back
