I drive a 2008 Pontiac G6 GT. This morning, I stopped at an icy intersection which activated my traction control and anti-lock brakes. I was able to stop after pressing down hard on my brakes (no pumping). While I was fully stopped & waiting for the SUV to my left to take his turn, my car made a loud popping or clicking noise and jerked my body forward. My brakes also disengaged, and I started moving slowly forward, barely missing the SUV that was crossing to my left. I felt like I lost my brakes for a few brief scary moments, but then I was able to brake and completely stop. It didn't happen again, even though I met more ice and activated my traction control & anti-lock brakes again (this time I wasn't holding the brake down as hard). Could someone tell me what happened? No warning lights are showing up on my car. Thanks for your help.
