I test drove a used car today and it was doing something very strange I've never experienced with a car before (1995 buick lesabre): when I pushed down on the brake pedal, it pushed back! As I was pushing it towards the floorboard, it would come back up, then go back down, come up, go down, etc. I pushed a little harder, and it still did the same thing. It was very strange. It wasn't a small thing, it was very noticeable! What caused this?? The man told me he just changed front brake pads. He told me this before I test drove it, when he was describing car. Could this have something to do with it? What would cause a brake pedal to do that??
Brake pedal pumping on it's own/jumping?
