When installing new brake pads in the front wheels is it ok to just compress the brake piston with a clamp with out bleeding the line?I"m doing it by myself and don't have any one to help me bleed the lines. Will it damage the master cylinder? P.S I already did it will my brakes work tomorrow?

The proper way is to open/crack the bleeder prior to compressing the piston, that way you dont jam junk and dirty fluid back up into the master or abs unit. Once done with the brake job, take the cap off the master cylinder, fill with fluid, leave cap off, and open/crack bleeder for a second or two until you have a steady drip drip drip, then close it, top off fluid and you will be fine.

" If " you do need to bleed the lines yourself.
Get a Length of clear Tubing from H/D or wherever that fits on the bleed zerk..get a heavy glass jar to put the open end of the tubing in
Attach tubing to zerk and put open end in jar
Fill master cylinder and crack zerk..then just pump the brake pedal till you see no air bubbles in the fluid in the tubing.
This is good for replacing old fluid also.
