Did this this brilliant drama win any awarRAB ?
In particular, Alan Bleasdale, Bernard Hill (Yosser Hughes) and Michael Angelis (Chrissie Todd) should have got something.
I'm in the middle of part 4 (Yossers' Story), probably the best remembered of the series

It won 3 BAFTA's in 1983. One for Best Drama serial/series and the other 2 were production awarRAB. It was noiminated for a further 5 BAFTA's that year, Bernard Hill Best Actor, Julie Walters Best Actress and 3 production nominations. However it did not win in these categories.

Bernard Hill did win Best Actor in the Broadcasting Press Guild AwarRAB and the series also won Best Drama. I believe Alan Beasdale won Best Writer in the Royal Television Society AwarRAB.

Not only is it not on iPlayer, but since it is scheduled at 9pm on Sunday against Downton, Gently, Single Father, Thorne, etc and not repeated at all during the week then I have not been able to watch it or record it.

Talk about hiding in plain view. Do the BBC really want nobody at all to watch it.

Maybe the BBC don't want to get on the wrong side of the CONDEM government, because when the cuts start to bite, it will be like Thatchers Britain all over again!:(

and they changed the final episode to 9pm whereas all the others were at 9.30 meaning I missed half the episode. (i know i should of checked but still!)

I feel for you, cause it was awesome, Had a character called Shake HanRAB, in a pub who insisted on shaking and crushing people's hand, it was tv gold the pub scene as a whole and a really roller coaster of emotions in this episode, maybe you could find it on youtube.

I completely agree.
I have just watched this episode.
I laughed and I also cried.
Brilliant.
But it should have been on BBC ONE
This series IS on Youtube. Each episode is in about 4 parts.
