My boyfriend snores like a group of bears and on top of that he kicks me, elbows me, moves on top of me and hogs the bed. He will lift his leg and drag his toenails down my leg scratching me scaring me out of a sound sleep. At the time of doing these things he has no clue that he is doing them, he sleeps like a rock. I can't take this anymore. I've tried everything to get him to stop. He tries to sleep on his side away from me too but that doesn't help, he just ends up rolling back over and hurting me and god the snoring... Nothing works to stop it, he has tried sprays, nose strips. He has a hard time laying on his stomach it hurts him but even that doesn't seem to work.
I don't know what to do and it's causing a lot of tension in our relationship because I can't sleep. We have a baby and it wakes her up too. We can't escape to another room because we live in San Francisco right now and paying an arm and a leg for a studio until we can find another place. It's hard to find an apartment here in this city with a newborn.
Please help, I love him and he's a wonderful man, but honestly I can't take this. I've tried sleeping on our couch too and it hurts me because I had a C section back in December. He will also unknowingly put his arm around me in his sleep and pull at my C section! I can't go into detail of how painful this is. When I was pregnant I had to sleep on my side facing away from him so he wouldn't hurt our baby. I'm finding that I am still having to protect my belly from him.
We don't have room for another bed the apartment is too small but if we can get a two room apartment later in another city I'm taking the other room with the baby. We also have cats, I think they would pop an air mattress.
