Boyfriend never wants to do anything - should I do things on my own?

I mean he seriously will not do ANYTHING. He sits at home every night after work and all weekend every weekend. Although the odd time he will go to a friend's place for a few hours, but usually just the neighbours place or his friend who lives a few blocks away. The only place I ever go is to work or grocery shopping....lol. I don't have any friends (the few I have all have kids and it's hard to get them to hang out - although I do go visit at their homes), so would it be too weird to do things on my own. I'm sure my family would join me sometimes, but I want to do things like go to the zoo, go for ice cream in some of the small towns around me, go to the waterfalls in the mountains just for a nice walk to enjoy the scenery - basically anything outdoors now that summer is coming..
Anyone else do things on their own or would I be really weird? I'm due to have my baby in September, so at least next summer I'll have some company.
