Boyfriend complains about EVERYTHING?

My boyfriend complains more than anybody I know!! If there's nothing to complain about he will find something. I think he loves to argue. I recently went through miscarriage and he says things like "oh I bet you didn't miscarry I bet you murdered my child". This morning I turned the fan off because the room was freezing and he goes"I can't live with someone who doesn't do as I wish" like omg really ill turn the fan back on. He picks at every little thing. Its like everything I do isn't good enough for him. he's been treating me like crap recently and he says he hasn't been like this after his mom and aunt passed away. I understand and am here for him. His mom passed about 8 years ago and his cousin told me he treated his ex girlfriends a lot better from what he's seen. So I'm unsure if he's acting this way because of his aunt which is more recent but I wish he'd stop using the "I haven't been like this since they passed" reason to yell at me and pick at me and grab me. One time it got so bad he took a pillow when he was mad and suffocated me until I about passed out. I ended up having a seizure. All over stupid little things. like if he misplaces his shoes "that's why I hate living with you your always messing with my stuff just stop touching my sh*t". I try to sit him down calmly and talk to him about what's making him upset and he ends up yelling at me telling me he doesn't care if I cry and its not about me and basically from there I'm the stupid one not him. Is there another approach I can try with him that will keep him from getting anymore hostile with me???
