My boyfriend is old school in the discipline area. He thinks most kids are disrespectful. My daughter is 8. Him and I have been together for a year and 1/2. I've been seperated/divorced from my daugthers father for 2 and 1/2 years. She is still not too hip about the idea that mommy has a boyfriend. One day he attempted to discipline her by sending her to her room. I was upset because it was not established that he could do that. I asked that until him and her relationship was stronger that I would discipline. Although he's over most of the time and see's us everyday was I wrong? He feels that because he's here he should be able to correct her, and I agree after they have a better connection.
