Hi, Everyone My question is:
If a person joins a Boxing gym/club and fights and trains for 3/4 years in a Gym Can he enrol into the next olympics straightaway or something else is needed, having said that the intention of going to the olympics is to get a medal i.e. silver or gold and then turning pro?
let me give an example, ive got a friend who has joined a boxing gym, he doesnt know anything about the sport and wishes to train and become like a pro in the sport and he wants to give himslef 3/4 years in the gym and train and then go to the olympics in 2012? maybe to win a medal i.e. silver or even gold if he can do it? can he do this?
or does he have to travel around the world fighting before he can go to olympics, i,.e. is a qualification needed or something if so please tell me more about it
He feels that if he trains and works hard for 4 years and then enrols into the 2012 olympics and if he does win a gold medal he will be at the age of 19/20 to win a gold medal.
