I had to have an emergency c-section 7 days ago to deliver my son, and since I was in the hospital immediately following the surgery, I have been having bouts of hot flashes where I sweat through my clothes and my sheets and a little bit later I'll be freezing. I monitor my temperature and am not running a fever. My incision is not swollen or puffy or even pink and I don't have any pains in my stomach unless I move wrong or put too much pressure on it. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I told the nurses at the hospital and they said it was holdovers from the epidural and the anesthesia they put me under with during my surgery. Should I panic? My first checkup with my doc isn't until May 8th.
I also forgot to mention that if I go more than a few hours without taking my pain medicine (I'm only taking OTC ibuprofen for pain) that I feel all stuffy and lots of pressure around my eyes and my nose will run. Could I just be sick or what?
