I just recently bought the HTC Desire HD from Singapore about 5 - 6 days ago and when I started the phone up I went through the basic set up options but I could only choose certain options for the language settings. There was no English (British) Or anything related to that, it only offered options like English (Singapore), English (Malaysia) etc.
While that is a problem I'd like to fix, I also encoutered a problem with the android market. When I open up the market it doesn't load the 'featured' apps on the market homescreen. I also cannot view the apps which need to be paid for and certain apps like 'Google Earth' are not available on the market for this phone.
My Previous phone, HTC Desire, had no problems like this and ran fine. Although I bought it from Australia where I live. So i'm wondering if there is a way for me to fix these problems so I can have English (British) and the normal android market without being limited to only free apps and even being unable to download some certain apps which I was able to get on my HTC Desire.
