Bought a '95 Police Electra Glide

Just got a FLHTP with 18K miles.

I was going to "civilianize" it, but I'm gathering that the cop bikes have their own appeal.

So, before getting too heavily into it, I wanted to talk with other cop bike owners out there.
 
I have a 1996 FLHP Road King. What a nice bike. Other than the electrical, it is pretty much the same as anyother Road King. Change the seat for two up and ride like the wind.
I put chrome flames on the sides. People had a habit of slamming on the brakes with they saw me in the mirror. I tried to make it look like less of a police bike.
 
Welcome. I have a 2008 Cop Glide. Great bike to make your own. I have pretty much converted mine to Ultra trim by now. You should have a lot of fun. I bought mine because I didn't want to pay the price for a bike on the floor and turn around and do all the mods to make it mine. With the Cop bikes you are a step ahead. They are pretty bare bones. Have fun with it and ride it like you stole it.
 
I have a 2008 RK police model at 320# the 103cid. really helps. I have not changed a thing yet, really love the big solo seat. I have 2 tone, black with white panels. I like that look. the knobs for the bags don't look too cool but the work so good I can overlook that. I do plan to put older style tank emblems on and upgrade exhaust, but that's about it.got bike 8-1-2009 with 1300 miles. lease was up with police dept. paid 14,000 out the door.I'm taking it in next week for 10,000 mile service. bikes great!
