Bottled ships?

I'm sure this has been asked a million times before but how do they get the ship in to the bottle?
I've seen the method where the sails are collapsed on entering the bottle, then pulled up by a string once inside.
Ive seen glass ships inside bottles that couldnt be put in that way as they are just too big! How do they do it?
Help!
 
well, i heard they use tweezers
and this flag thing at the top is collapsible then when you push it inside it goes back up.
haha, i used to cry when i was little because noone would ever tell me how it got in there.
 
I just asked a question like this a few days ago, I was told that they make certain parts of the ship outside of the bottle, then they put the rest of it together in the bottle. Someone said they use special tweezers to do it.
 
they blow the glass around the ship, so they have the ship sitting on a table and then place it in a spherical piece of glass cut in half. Then they heat the glass and blow it into the form they want
