Both my Samsung Rant phones have the freezing problem... help!?

First off, I love my Rant. I just got it last month and... besides the freezing problem, I love everything about it.

Now... it seems to happen whenever I take it off charge. The screen comes up with the time saying to press * and BACK to unlock... but it doesn't do anything. Sliding the phone open simply glitches the screen and I have to remove the battery.

I was told this was only on the first gen Rants... but this is my second one in a month and both have the newest firmware.

What should I do? Does anyone else have this same problem? Should I wait and see if new firmware fixes it?
 
my phone does that to....u have to hold the back button. Its just a security thing to make sure you are the one pushing the buttons and not whatever is in ur pocket.
