Both a weight rant and question during pregnacy!?

Okay so I just called mum for her weekly update on my pregnancy! All she seems to be concerned about it not putting on too much weight (not for the sake of babies health i might add BUT for my benefit PHFT) Anyway she just told me that I shouldnt be comsuming more food then what i did (before pregnant) and that during the last 3 months I should only be consuming the eqivilant to two pieces of bread more a day. Argh she makes me so angry! all she seems worried about it me putting on weight so that way I am not chubby when baby arrives. I have suffered from bulemia for the last 5 years (not that she knows about) and have kicked it since finding out I was pregnant - thanks to my little bundle of joy. Anyway this is not true it is? She seems to have a way of disheartning me :(
 
Ignore her and do what your doctor says. That goes for just about anything with the pregnancy.
 
no wonder you have had issues w/ eating dissorders...i cant believe that woman! eat what you want honey. youll be ok!!
 
Mom seem to know best espically during pregnancy. Tell her the doctor said you are doing fine on gaining and the baby healthy. You don't have to listen to her.
 
Sorry but she is right! Many women use pregnancy as an excuse to binge while really nothing in your diet should really change maybe just a prenatal vitamin and an extra glass of milk. I only gained 25 lbs during my pregnancy and yet still had some junk every now and then. It was much easier to lose after and now I'm skinnire then ever! So ya take her advice and you can find thnis info also in what to expect when you're expecting
 
Eat what you want and worry about it later. I gained 40 lbs and had my baby at 35 weeks. I lost all but 5 of it pretty quickly. If she asks about weight gain just lie to her, it isn't really her business anyway! Stay on track with your Bulimia, your baby needs you to be well and strong!
 
You've got two choices here - ignore Mom when she starts on her weight rant or flat out tell her that you don't want to hear it anymore. I would say "I appreciate your concern but my doctor isn't worried so therefor I'm not, either and from now on I would like to ask you to keep your comments on my weight to yourself." You could just stop mentioning your weight at all and when she askes just say you didn't remember or you weren't sure.
My Gramma for a while asked me everytime I saw her how much weight I'd put on and I eventually kind of flipped out on her and told her it was none of her business and she never asked again.
You want to nip this behavior in the butt now or she could pass the "fat phobia" onto your child.
