sort of an awkward question but i would rather ask you guys then my male recruiter. when you in boot camp how do you deal with that time of the month. i know you may not have one do to weight changes, body change but if it does happen how can you deal with it for it won't get in the way.like do you say "Ma am this recruit needs to go change it?" or what. sorry for asking such a Personal question. i don't know any females in the military.

i was in bootcamp back in '99 but i remember i had time to change. if you are worried about it and on birth control i would suggest to double up your pills so you dont get your period while at bootcamp. when i was overseas i did that because being in iraq in the heat the last thing u want to deal with is cramps and period!! You will have time to "change" your stuff out during breaks

I'm not a lady, but my wife is...

She said that she carried her Hygiene Products in a quart-sized Ziploc bag in her pocket at ALL times, because there was always someone who forgot to bring their stuff to the day's training.

Make sure you bring a pretty good supply, so you can accomodate those who are not prepared and still have enough for yourself.

Like you said, some females find that their cycle stops, but there also may be a female who has an irregular cycle that is longer than usual. This happened to a woman in my wife's Basic Training unit. If this happens, do not be ashamed to go to sick call. It was fixed by an adjustment to her Birth Control.

If you do need to go the restroom, you should just say that; your DI does not need (or want) to know details.
