Boot camp instead of prison?

My boyfriend was offered boot camp instead of having to go to prison and i am having difficulties finding information about it. Like when will he be able to call me? How often can he write me? Will I be able to visit him? I have a lot of questions about it does anybody know anything about it or have a website i can look it up on? Any information would help a lot thank you so much.
