im looking to boost the wifi range of my laptop. i have an express 54 slot as well as usb and all that standard stuff..... I dont have any access to router settings as it is a public router, i dont know the make or model of it, i cant move closer to the router or move the router.
Im too far away from the router. I get 2 bars of reception on average and sometimes 1-3 bars, the internet is pretty slow and i doubt that it is the internet itself im pretty sure its because im too far away. I loose connection most of the time after about 15-30 minutes and sometimes have difficulty reconnecting.
whats my best bet of getting more stable faster internet from here. I was looking into network adapter card but a lot of them seem to be router specific and i dont know the type of router it is. Will some of these cards still work?
