I live in Orange County and had Boost Mobile for the last three months. I haven't had a drop call and the service is wonderful. No hidden fees just $50 per month for unlimited talk, text and web.
However if you plan on getting Boost Mobile make sure you are getting the CDMA network version. The CDMA network version does not have the walkie talkie on the cell phones and does not use sim cards. They have a wider coverage. However there are only three models of CDMA cell phones on Boost Mobile to choose from.
The rest of cell phones on Boost Mobile uses IDEN network and everything is slower and coverage is extensive and so you will get more drop calls. They have walkie talkie on their cell phones and uses sim cards. Text messaging is much slower in delivery and internet is terrible. So if you wish to go with Boost Mobile make sure to get a CDMA version cell phone.
