Boost Mobile - Blackberry Curve 8330 CDMA in Phoenix, Az?

I'm currently looking at purchasing the Blackberry Curve 8330 and it's $60/mo plan through Boost Mobile. With my current situation, I don't want to get locked into a contract, but the unlimited calling, text, email and internet appeal to me, as it all fits my work needs very well. I've read that the CDMA is much better than the iDEN network, but I am just wondering how Boost's service is in the Phoenix, AZ area. Will I experience alot of dropped calls or extended delays in texts? Will I receive service while indoors?

I'm trying to decide if Boost's Blackberry is the way to go or if there are other alternatives. Anyone with any experience with Boost Mobile in the Phoenix area, I look forward to your replies.
Also, would I be able to upgrade the memory from the standard amount it comes with. I believe it comes standard with 1GB SD.

I've also heard some people say that it is possible to upgrade the BB O/S to 5.0, any info on either of these would be appreciated.
