I am a college student, and I'm looking for some good books for people in my age range. I am into science-fiction and fantasy, as well as historical fiction and others. I just like books I can escape into. Please no vampire books unless they are really (and I mean REALLY) original in some way. I'm looking for something a little more advanced than typical high-school reads, with good story lines.
Just for some guidelines, the authors I typically read:
Patricia C. Wrede, Shannon Hale, Robin McKinley
I LOVE the Harry Potter series, and twilight was... meh, okayish
