I was a US history major in college, emphasizing 1930s USA - also took courses on Western Europe in the same time period. However, Australia Prime Minister Rudd's apology to survivors of the UK forced migration of (impoverished?) children taken from their parents and also orphans to provide labor in Australia and Canada caught me by surprise; worse, I can't find a sourcebook for the incident. Can you recommend a good history of this sad event and how I can obtain it? Thanks!
