Recently, I have finished writing my first novel. I have also begun writing my second novel and I am now at a loss. I live in Canada and it appears that there are only 11 literary agents to choose from here but you must find an agent in order to publish traditionally. However, there is always the option to self publish but I am completely overwhelmed by how many companies there are out there willing to help you self publish and I wonder if they are all reputable. I'm thinking not. So my question is this: for anyone out there with experience is it better to publish traditionally or is self publishing something that I should take a shot at and if so, how?? Please recommend a decent self publishing arena if you know of one. Thank you.
