I would really appreciate some good suggestions for air plane books! thanks guys! but lemme give you a hint... i hate that stupid teen crap (yes, i'm 17, but that doesn't mean i have to read like it). I also don't want any of that house-wife-fictional-romance stuff. bleh. to give you an idea, here are some books that i really enjoyed.
Emma--Jane Austen
Reading Lolita in Tehran--Azar Nafisi
And There Was Light--Jacques Lusseyran
A Tale of Two Cities--Charles Dickens
Fahrenheit 451--Ray Bradbury
The Canterbury Tales--Chaucer (i know, i know! but i seriously enjoyed it!)
Hiroshima--John Hersey
The Chosen--Chaim Potok
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society--Mary Ann Shaffer, Annie Barrows
Those are just what I can think of off the top of my head. I love anything that takes you for a ride or paints a picture (or even better, both!). Also, anything related to the Jewish Holocaust... oh and James Thurber is my favorite author so I've read almost everything of his. Oh, and I think I might like mysteries, who-dunnit kind of things...
I dunno, so what's your favorite book? a book that took you away? the last thing you read in the airport? the last book you really enjoyed?
