I've been wondering about this for a while and haven't been able to find an answer, so I was hoping someone could help. Thanks in advance!
Since the bone marrow in large bones produces blood cells, what happens when someone receives a bone marrow transplant? Do they then make blood cells identical to those of the donor? And if so, how does that affect DNA tests that use blood samples rather than cheek swabs?
