Dr. Choy in New York who developed a procedure for laser discectomy says that Bonati and another institute in California claiming cures with minimally invasive laser surgery are both crooked. Dr. Choy charges 10000 for a procedure, I assume this does not include other expenses, but it is outpatient and I believe done in his office. He is on staff at Colurabia Univ Med Center and legit. He will look at your mri for 100dollars and tell you if he can help you. He does not take insurance.

Anyone ever here of the Bonati Institute? I just sent my MRI films to them for a free review. They will call me and tell me my options after they review them. I figured I can use this as another opinion and it's free! Anyway, I figured if anyone is at a loss as to what to do, you can get another opinion. My current surgeon says I need a fusion so I will see what they say. The surgeon who developed the institute ,and runs it, is the person who pioneered the Micro-D!!!

I am talking to them too. Trying to decide between them and the Laser Spine Institute.

Yes. I have several surgeries there. I very much like the people and the place. It is worth a shot to try this technique before a fusion. You might only need this one.

I haven't heard of scar removal. The current philisophy is that if you remove the scar tissue it will come back worse than it was. What are their success rates with that?

I did the same thing with the laser spine institude in florida. They called back said I needed a laminotmy/forimonatmy I know i'm screwing those spellings us. Remove bad disc. etc. - This place was all minimally invasive and said nothing about fusion...which is the surgery I am having......

Yvette, what type are you having? I am going to a doctor who doesn't believe that fusion is most of the time not necessary. I guess that is the new thinking.
