What is the boiling point of a solution that contains 1.25 mol CaCl2 in 1,400 g of water?
I set up Tb = Kb x m
Kb is a constant. The constant is .512
So it's Tb = (.512) (?)
MOLALITY= moles of solute/ kilograms of solution
MOLALITY= 1.25/1.4
=.89
Substitute back in
Tb= (.512) x (.89)
I get .4.....
The actual answer is 101.37
Where is my error. Can you show me how you solve?
