...somewhere else? I live in Houston, Texas and i dropped my car of to get fixed after getting rear ended. I picked up my car this morning and noticed a big scratch that was not there when the accident occured. I even have my own pictures from the accident showing that it was not there. My question is, can i ask for their insurance and take it to a different shop. I no longer trust them with my car and would like someone else to fix it with a warranty of the work. They did right a not and sign it saying they damaged the car, so am i in the right asking someone else to fix it through the body shops insurance?
I just called and they refused to give me their garage liability information. I told them i would get three quotes from competitive shops. They said they would look at them, but they are not paying anything over what their shop would charge. Is this something i will have to take to small claims court or is there a way to get their insurance information without having to go through them.
