Hi all...I'm back from rehab. It was a great experience just like many of you said it would be. I am so glad that I was blessed with the opportunity to go. As many of you who have gone already know, rehab is not just a drug detox center it is a Life skills center. I basically got decrapped of everything in my life and feel like I someone has pressed a reset button. Life has already improved in all areas of my life as a result of my new thinking.

Anyway, I was just curious, does anyone else have blurred vision as a result of taking hydro's? I am clean for 5 months now and I don't take any kind of mind altering substance at all and yet I struggle everyday with my vision. I used to have 20/10 eyesight but now I can't focus very well at far or near distances and I am tired all the time even though there is no more stress in my life. I only get 6.5 hours of sleep a night which might explain both the vision and the tiredness but just in case it doesn't I wanted to put it out there to see if anyone else had similar issues.

Hi Vernson

I am rejoicing with you in your 'reset" life! I know exactly how it feels... as I got clean, I truly felt like I learned more about myself and my world than I had in all the previous years before corabined. I am so happy for you as you experience this also.

As to the blurred vision... yes, I experienced that throughout my tapering and for a while afterwarRAB. I don't know what causes it, but it is not an uncommon thing. It slowly cleared the further away I got from using drugs. Eventually, it totally just disappeared. I am sorry I can not give you a definite timeframe; I am just not sure anymore. 2-3 months tops.

Wishing you all of life's many sober blessings.... remeraber always the lessons learned in withdrawal and restoration.... they will serve you for the rest of your life in every area.

Hurray for you!

Shortly after I sobered up, I went in for a physical. I just wanted to get checked out and see what kinda damage I did to myself. Everything went ok. 3 months after was so thirsty I couldnt stand it. I went to the DR. found out I have Type 1 diabetes. I was really thirsty, tired, and lost weight, before my vision went blur. Eyes are back to normal now my blood sugar is ok.This is why "Blurred Vision" caught my eye. Not trying to freek you out or anything, just suggesting a check up from a Doc. Congrats on finding yourself in rehab, soberiety is truly the gift that keep on giving. Even with my stinkin' diabetes! I have a positive outlook on life:D Good luck!
