bluetooth

See www.whizoo.com/bt_setup

My problem with this is that the author says that the Bluettoth device has to use 192.168.0.1 for the BT LAN since the computer acts as a network bridge to the LAN to which the computer is connected (or directly to the internet).

For me, it would imply too much work to move everything out. He says nothing else could be in the 192.198.0.x range.

I try to understand whether this restriction comes from the Tungsten or from the BT device.

Edit: Just got an answer over at www.palminfocenter.com/forums that it is a Windows issue. Windows ICS will only work with that IP.

So now I try to figure out whether I must use ICS since I already have a network card in my laptop and could use a pcmcia LAN card also. Is ICS "incontournable" as they say in french, i.e. you can't avoid it?
