Bluetooth Pairing between Asus HE 1000 Netbook and Motorola Cell Phone?

I am trying to pair my E815 Motorola with the ASUS netbook. All is fine until I try to give the phone a passcode to complete the pairing process. I have tried 0000 and 1234. Neither works. The cell phone pairs just fine with several other devices. Will appreciate any ideas.
