bluetooth on dell 6400.?

i go to start-settings-control panel and the bluetooth icon and when i try to add a new device it says that there's no one. it doesn't work with any devices and they are all okay. i turned on bluetooth on this laptop when i first got it and im 100% shure that in works.

what u do to turn it on?
 
Usually there will be either a button on the side or a function button or both.

Check on the sides and above the keyboard for a button with the bluetooth symbol. Also look on your function keys (those are the ones that have two things written on them, one in a different color like blue or orange.) and see if any of them have the bluetooth symbol or some sort of wireless symbol that would not be for the Wifi.
