Bluetooth: my phone is able to send files to my laptop, but my laptop is unable...

...to send files to my phone? The 'sending' bar always gets stuck like 1/10th of the way through. I wanna send a ringtone to my phone, but can't seem to get it to work. I've tried sending the same photos that I had my phone sent to the laptop, but that doesn't work either. -__-" My phone is a Samsung T509, and it's about 4 years old... Does anyone know a solution to this?
