Bluetooth, cell phone network, Asus netbook - user experiences?

I'm checking out the ASUS EEE 1000HE Netbook with Bluetooth. I've read some reviews that seem to imply the ASUS Bluetooth can talk to cell phones with Bluetooth and use the cell phone's data services and data plan to access the internet, in areas where no other WiFi is available.

any experiences out there with Asus 1000HE users connecting via bluetooth to their cell phone providers' networks? Any snags with a Blackberry? Any snags with any particular cell phone providers when doing this?
 
I have an Asus EEE Netbook 1005PEG and have tried in vain to get it to interface with my Motorola Flipside using bluetooth. No go and I'm out of ideas as to how to configure either of them. I've explored so many options, my ears are growing vulcan points on them. Update drivers. No luck. Update software. Nope. Update telephone software. Un uhh. I give up. Mainly I was wanting to just sync files between the phone and netbook. Guess I'll do the old USB connection. Slow but easy enough.
