Blower on 05 dodge ram 1500 stuck on floor?

I can control the speed of the heater a/c blower on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 but when I change the selector control to change to dash, defrost or a combination, air continues to blow on the floor, but nowhere else. Is this most likely a problem with the selector switch or is there a vaccum line bad or what might it be?

Pull off the knob and use pliers to change it. It could be a broken knob. Happened to me.

if it isn't the knob broken on that one check the vacuum source for it ,if that isn't it replace the control unit,they do go bad and will cause that too happen,there's also smaller vacuum lines that run the actuators that control the divider door flap,one of them might have came off,that was a common problem with the control units going bad though,i got a whole box full of those that look good and are junk,good luck.
