blood test question? pleas read .. .. ..?

I have to have a blood test about my period, to see why there so irregular. my doctors given me a list of thing the blood test is looking for .. FSH LH TESTOSTERON PROLACTION? ( dont know if there spelt right i cant read his writting.) he named it a thyroid blood test or something?

if he tests for these things if i am pregnant will he be able to tell?
(also said hes checking my hormones)
 
doctors always send you for a blood test when you are pregnant so he should be able to tell. that's the way they find out for themselves if you are.
 
not necessarily. all those substances you listed are hormones. you said your periods are irregular so that could be a result of hormonal dissemblance. usually they can tell if a woman is pregnant or not but when there are irregularities you shouldn't worry. sometimes the body works as if you are pregnant already even though you're not (for example birth control pills trick your body into thinking you are pregnant so that you will not get pregnant for real). for pregnancy doctors look at other hormones (baby hormones) not just these ones.
