I'm going out of town tomorrow evening, and in the morning I am going first thing to my doctor's office to get a blood test done to see if I am pregnant. Should I get the results while I'm there? Or later that day? How long does it take to get the results?

At my doctor's office, there is a lab downstairs.
Also, I am thinking I'm about 2 or 3 weeks pregnant. But I also had a strange "pregnancy period" like cycle last month completely unlike my regular, so I could have been from last month too.
I was told to get a blood test from a lot of people because apparently it's accurate up to 6 days after ovulation... I'm confused now!!
(I asked this in a different forum, so if you see it, ignore it. I just want as much answers as possible because I don't want to feel like an idiot at the doctor's office!)
