Here's an extra observation and thought. Rideback's dub has got VA's like Tia Ballard as the lead Rin, Kristi Bingham as her best friend, and Alexis Tipton among others...Tipton is also in Hero Tales as the sister of Taito, the protagonist, while before Taito Newton Pittman had a small handful of significant roles. There's a significant amount of pretty fresh blood in these shows; in a more prominent example there's also Maxey Whitehead being brought in to be Alphonse for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Notwithstanding some talk here and there about dubs recycling voice talent too much, I think these days it's pretty palpable that there's a rather deep pool of voice talent maintained and fostered down there in Texas. The situation's far off from being all Vic Mignogna, Chris Sabat and whatever other VA's some fans like to think gets an excess of casting or attention these days.
Rideback really is in my head lately. I'll probably end up streaming the rest of it subtitled while I wait for the DVD set to come along.
