Bloated and over-full after one bite..

I have what I thought was a sinus infection (very congested, sore muscles, etc.) and it's been about two weeks. I thought it was getting better, but all of a sudden, for the past four days or so, I have this extreme bloated feeling. My stomach isn't sticking out, but there's some pain and the strange part is, if I go to have a meal, I am very full/stuffed-feeling after just a bite or two- especially if I have some water or liquid with it.

I'm one of those people who usually drinks the 8 glasses a day I'm supposed to though, so while I am still drinking, I am definitely drinking less than usual so that can't be why I'm so full feeling. It's getting to the point where I don't want to have anything because I feel sick/uncomfortable if I just have like, a piece of a parogy for dinner.

Just wanna see if anyone else knows what this could be and if it has anything to do with the sinus symptoms, because I went to the doctor for those, mentioned the full feeling but forgot to mention the slight pain in the stomach area, and at the time I didn't think that they could be two different things but this is really bugging me. Thanks.

hmm.. sounds def like some sort of digestive disorder. ive had so many digestive complications and trust me - the symptoms EASILY overlap.

with you, i think you should check out the symptoms for gastroparesis, hiatal hernia, dyspepsia and gastritis. also, def talk to your doctor. if you suspect you might have any of these, you gotta get tests done before stuff gets worse

take care n good luck :)

Hi there,
Sorry to hear of your tummy troubles. I understand how terrible they can be. You said you had a sinus thing going on and I wonder, did you take antibiotics for that problem? Antibiotics use the shotgun approach to killing bugs in our systems so while it's taking care of the infection they're prescribed for, they also kill the good bacteria in our guts, which we need for proper digestion. Bloating, nausea, constipation or diarrhea are symptoms of this problem. I personally use a product called Rejuvelac and a yogurt type drink called Kefir to soothe and restore my troubled tummy. Others use acidopholis (sp?)or some other type of live cultured restorative bacteria usually in capsule form. I like the products I use as I've had the best response from them. Really helped me out.

I also agree that constipation could be the reason also. I, too, suffer from this and have exactly what you describe. This has gone on so long that I have lost all appetite as everything makes me feel overly full and nauseous. I actually choke trying to get food down. I'm dealing with it, and take it one day at a time.

Hope this helps,
J.
