Blinkers and brake lights don't work, but tail lights do (1997 Dodge Ram)?

I have a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 in which the tail lights work when the headlights are on, but the brake lights and blinkers don't work. The blinkers don't come on at all in the cab or on any of the four lights. I checked all of the fuses, checked the flasher, ran throught the wiring and checked bulbs, but unalbe to find the issue. Did have a hard time checking the entire wiring though, and it definately could be the problem because the previous owner installed a trailer hitch hookup and these lights were not working when I bought the truck. Does anyone know of another switch or anything I haven't listed? If so where is it located on this truck? Any other suggestions on what could be wrong? Thanks.
