bleeding with microgestin?

hey everyone. i'm on my second week of microgestin 1/20 fe starting my third week tomorrow and just a couple days ago i started to randomly bleed out of no where. i haven't had any other side effects but i was wondering if anyone else has had this. i just started this and i don't know if i should switch to something else. any advice? thank you.

What you're experiencing is called "spotting." It's very common when you first start a low-dose hormone birth control. I used to be on Microgestin as well, and had the same problem at first. Give it 3 or 4 months...if you still experience the spotting, you might want to switch. Microgestin made me break out and I had horrible mood swings, so I switched off of it.
 
I've been taking microgestin for 3 weeks and have had non stop bleeding, My doc switched me to Ortho-Novum, I haven't started yet... Hope this stops:(
