Bleeding after the first time you have sex?

I recently lost my virginity, it didn't hurt me too bad and I didn't bleed too much the night of. The next day however I was sore all day, and that night I was eating with some friends and was still feeling pain, and when I got up to go to the bathroom blood had completely soaked the back of my jeans all the way down to my thighs, and I left a pool of blood in the seat. (I know that's really gross sorry) This extremely heavy bleeding continued through the 3rd day after I had sex. Is it normal to bleed this much after your first time?

PS I know for sure it was not menstrual blood, I'm about in the middle of my cycle.

That is NOT normal. You really should go to the doctor. It is normal to bleed a little but not to soak through jeans and not for days afterward.
