bleed the back brake on a yamaha fzr 400?

i fitted braided brake lines front and rear, got the front brakes bled and working, but i cant get the back brake bled at all. it seems that i cant get enough pressure into the system. the brake pedal goes down to nearly its full travel before it actually works, and doesnt slow the bike down in anyway, anybody got any suggestions as to what the problem might be? i have ordered a new set of brake pads, but i think that a minor thing, any help would be much appreciated.
 
I had the same problem.
The front bled with no problem, the rear was another story.
Finally I noticed that the caliper was mounted upside down (the bleed nipple [valve] was at the bottom of the caliper, rather than the top where it should be).
With the bleeder at the bottom, I couldn't get the air out of the caliper above that point.

I had to take the caliper off (leaving it hooked up to the line), put an old disc between the pads (so the pistons didn't come out too far and pop out of the caliper), and bleed it that way, with the bleeder at the top of the caliper.
 
You could try fitting the bleeder pipe to the bleed nipple take lid of resvior make sure the other end of the pipe is clean put it in your mouth start to suck and open the nipple (dont swallow the brake fluid) close nipple check level and repeat this worked for me. without spending upwards of £30 on kit
