My hair is natural black. I wanted blue highlights/sections in it. The only blue dye i found in the shop had a pre-lightener with it so i used that for an hour, instructions warned not to leave the bleach in for more than an hour. My hair turned bronze/orange. Me being a total noob didnt realise that my hair needed to be pale yellow or white for the blue to show so i put the blue dye it and now my hair has gone back to black. The blue dye isnt permanent so should i wait till it washes out back to orange before i bleach again to a pale yellow/white colour. How long does it usually take to bleach from orange to yellow. Also would i need a toner? Any tips? Thanks, much appreciated.
