Blacking out?

I am worried about my husband.
He was not feeling well yesterday and he tells me this:
He says he was at the computer playing one of his computer games and he felt like he blacked out for a minute. He says he was sitting there and says he "blacked out" and came out of it and realized he was playing the computer.
Didn't know where he was or what he was doing for a minute.
Says he started to break out in a cold sweat and had the shakes. He says he stood up to go get some water and felt very shaky and just feeling out of it.
He's been drinking a lot of energy drinks like Red Bulls lately and I felt like maybe too many energy drinks and all the caffeine in them maybe has something to do with not feeling well.
He says he drank a few waters and took an asprin because he says he felt like his blood pressure may have been up and he started feeling a little better.
Any clues what might be going on? We don't have insurance I'm waiting until payday to take him to see his doctor. He refuses to go to the ER, he'd rather wait he says.

That had to be frightening for your husband and you as well. Yes seeing
a doctor soon as he is able is the best thing to do. No insurance...that is
tough I know.

Be sure he is eating when these episodes happen....afterwards if he feels
like it ....a small amount of healthy food. And of course water intake that
is sufficient.

Let us know how things go......

Hamilton92: Be careful with this. He could have had a seizure. Seizures can be caused by computer games, EMF's, cell phones, cordless phones, fluorescent lights, MSG, lack of sleep, stress, and even low blood sugar. It tells you right on the Nintendo games that if you have seizures to use caution playing the games.

I'd also take note that yesterday, Mar. 30th, was the FULL MOON. The full moon has been known to cause seizures in people. It affects me all the time now. There was just an article in January on the computer about the WOLF MOON and it mentioned how the moon can affect people. It's the electromagnetic pull from the earth.

I started having seizures back in 2005 and I've documented them on a calendar and I had my first ride in an ambulance 2 days after the full moon and I crashed my car 2 days after the full moon!!!! Go figure!!!

My problems are from menopause, it's called Catamenial Epilepsy. It's hormone related. I know that's probably not the reason for your husband - LOL - but the causes can be the same.

We live in a toxic environment these days. We use too much plastic, smell alot of chemicals, and eat too much red meat. They all play havoc with our bodies. Even though he's a male he could still be getting effects from these things that are upsetting his brain. Men still have hormones, and hormones regulate your brain more than you may know. With me, all these chemicals are making me Estrogen Dominant and the estrogen is making my brain cells misfire. I'm on progesterone, Lupron and seizure meds now to see if I can get the estrogen down.

I would recommend that he see an endocrinologist and have his endocrine system checked and also, if possible, have his neurotransmitters tested. They can test alot of things through a urine test to see what's going on.

The other thing is I would increase Vit B6, B12, Magnesium and Selenium. I also take something called Taurine. That's one of the items on the neurotransmitter test that showed I was low in.

Remember, your body is full of electricity and electric circuits. Your doctors will probably want to do EEG's, MRI's and maybe even a CT Scan to make sure there aren't any tumors or problems with the blood vessels. You want to make sure he's not going to have an aneurysm.

And lastly, make sure he gets his blood sugars checked to make sure he's not a diabetic.

It's hard to say these days, but he probably needs to limit his time on the computer.
Take Care and Good Luck.

This could have been from low blood sugar. Drinking lots of sugary drinks, such as Red Bull, could conceivably cause blood sugar to go up too far, and then drop fast enough to produce "fainting."

However, I would definitely investigate other causes.
