Blackberry restorations issues!?

After a series of horrible updating crashes I finally got my blackberry bold to at least be able to function by downgrading to the software version I originally had before trying to update. My though was at least I could go from there and just update to the new software tomorrow. So after the downgrade was complete and running fine I restored to the backup I did right before upgrading. My pictures, contacts, texts,background, theme and basically all my settings that I have built up over time are still there. I have an issue though because the six icons on the home screen or apps are not what they should be for the restoration and my apps like twitter and foursquare are gone. I realize I could just start over with this but is there anything I can do to just fix the restoration so everything is there that should be. It freaks me out cause I feel like im missing something I cant get back without even noticing. You'd think the apps and app arrangement I had set up would be a normal thing included in a full back up but maybe thats just me...? Any help would be really appreciated.
